Posted by Matt Garrabrants on
Synthetic grass is used in professional sports arenas as well as in homes. Artificial grass has been around for decades. It was first used in field hockey stadiums of Europe and Asia where it provided a smooth playing surface. Synthetic grass soon found its way to other sports arenas and ultimately to homes and commercial spaces.
Domestic or Commercial?
What is the nature of property where you want to install fake grass? It is a commercial property or your home? There is a subtle yet highly visible difference in grasses installed in these two properties. While you can experiment with many types of artificial grass in your home, the commercial property requires a more formal-looking grass. You may also need an expensive variety of fake turf for the commercial property but you can install an economical version at home.
Choosing the Grass
You need to be aware of different varieties of synthetic grass available in the market. In synthetic grass there are many varieties. You can choose between fake grass that is made of polypropylene and one made from nylon. Length of the fiber as well as design features will also help you in narrowing down to a grass of your choice.
The only thing you should be concerned about is the variety of synthetic grass. Choosing a bad variety can upend your plans for decorating your residential or commercial property.
